Holiday Projects and SALE

First, may I apologize for my absence lately.

The Christmas season got the better of me.

I have been busy, and here is the proof!

Christmas Dress
I finally chose which print I wanted to use for my daughters Christmas Dress, Delovely Damask in Onyx.
Isn't the print perfect?  The dress had a few flaws, but the fabric was exquisite!
And never mind that the bow was tied unevenly.  I have never claimed to be perfect :)

Quilts
I made this super easy quilt with my Mother-in-Law in mind, and once it was finished, I loved it so much that I decided to make one for my Mother as well.

2 Quilts, Exactly the same!
I chose  THIS Jelly Roll from the Origins Collection.  Just 1 Jelly roll made two quilts!
And then I added some solid White fabric for stripes in between the Jelly Roll Strips. I absolutely adore these quilts, and I am glad their recipients did too!

All Jelly Rolls in the shop will be 20% off for the next week!

Yay!

So now that the holidays are coming to a close, go snatch up a Jelly Roll for a great deal and get started on something fun for yourself!

We also just recieved our first shipment of Sugar Pop!

We have the yardage and can't wait to receive the Pre-cuts hopefully by next week!

Pre-cuts!

Can you believe Christmas is almost here?

I have been so busy with all the hustle and bustle of the season that I forgot to announce all these great pre-cuts that arrived last week.  Most of these collections won't even be available for a few months. So be the first to get your hands on these great prints!

Chrysalis by Sanae
Available in Charm Packs, Fat Quarter Sets, Layer Cakes and Jelly Rolls

I love these prints to an unhealthy degree!  I had to order the entire collection, the yardage will all be here next month! YAY!

Central Park by Kate Spain
This collection also comes out in January. Right now we only have 1 Fat Quarter set left, and I can't wait until the yardage arrives next month!

Sherbet Pips by Aneela Hoey

You won't be able to get your hands on this collection until April!  So go snatch up this adorable Fat Quarter Set!

Just Wing It by MoMo
Right now all we have are Layer Cakes, but we will have yardage come April too!

 Buttercup by Fig Tree
These soft colors are great for Spring! This Fat Quarter set would make the most adorable Easter quilt!

Precuts make quilting simple and fun!  I have decided only to use precuts in my upcoming quilts, because let's face it, time is precious!

Mary Mary Quite Contrary

Quite Contrary from Riley Blake Designs is currently one of my favorite collections!

I made this little apron for my daughter for Christmas,
hence the reason she isn't modeling it for me ;)

I wanted something frilly and ruffly! I just know she will love it!

The main body of the apron is about 1/2 yard of fabric and then I just added 1/4 yard ruffles, folded in half.
Oh yeah, and some Jumbo ric rac to finish it off!
Super easy and cute!

Quite Contrary will be on Sale for a whole week for only
$7.50/ yard!

It is just too cute to pass up!

Be sure to get your orders in for Fruitcake posted below, that sale ends Wednesday!

Tis The Season

December is here!

Christmas time is my favorite season.  I will admit, my tree has been up for weeks!

And this year I thought I would add a little something to the coffee table.
My children's nativity scene seemed a bit lonely, so as my son says.... I gave them a rug.

I made the table runner/rug from this fabulous Christmas collection by Basicgrey

These prints are my favorite for Christmas!

And to celebrate the arrival of my favorite month of the year,

Fruitcake will be on sale all week for only $7.00 per yard!

So head on over to the shop and snatch some up if you have Christmas projects in the works!

Black Friday

Because I don't do this.......

or this......

 and wouldn't really enjoy this.....

I don't venture out on Black Friday!
I mean look at this poor guy, does he look like he is having a good time?

I prefer to do my shopping online.
And because I still enjoy a little discount here and there....

Here is one for The Little Fabric Shop!

Everything in the shop is 10% off!

Use Code
BLKFRI2010
during checkout to receive the discount!

Valid through Friday only!

So if the high in your city tomorrow is supposed to be about 5 degrees like it is here in Idaho,

then I would suggest you don't do this.....

I know that tomorrow at 3am  I will home asleep in my nice warm bed!

So good luck to all you hard core savings shoppers!

Don't forget to enjoy a little savings at thelittlefabricshop.com too!

Scrappy Owl

The first Blizzard of the season hit us this week.
3 days of school cancellations
Whiteout conditions
and lots of cabin fever!

I saw this tutorial over at U Create and thought it would be a great and easy craft to use up some scraps and pass some stormy time.
These little guys have become my kids' best friends. They have toted them around everywhere for two days.

I let them pick out every piece of fabric that they wanted and they even sat on my lap and helped me sew them.

"Watch this Mom!"
With a neckbrace and all.....impressive.

I love that my kids are as easily entertained as I am.
Love it!

So if you find yourself snowed in this weekend, perhaps you can make a scrappy friend too!

Have a Great Thanksgiving everyone!

And.....

If you are one of "those" people who love to shop on Black Friday

(I am not, it scares me too much)

You may want to check back here on Friday for a little treat!

What's New

First,
Thanks for all your well wishing and prayers!
My little sweetie is doing great, as you can tell by her smiles.

Only 1 more week until the neckbrace comes off!  YAY!

Thanks for bearing with me as I have been a little preoccupied lately taking care of my her.
But now I am back!

Here is What's New!

It's a Hoot by MoMo for Moda fabrics arrived a few weeks ago and is one of my current favorites!

It's a Hoot is available in yardage, Fat Quarter Sets, Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes and Charm Packs!

Sanctuary by Patty Young for Michael Miller Fabrics arrived today!
Here I have mixed them with a few other prints.
Now, I am a country girl and modern prints don't always strike my fancy, but these are AMAZING!

We have also received a great variety of the Delovley Damask prints from Michael Miller Fabrics.
Hello gorgeous!
I have a serious problem in that I want to make my daughter's Christmas dress out of every single print in this photo.

How am I suppose to choose! I love them all!

Which one would you choose?

My Angel

My sweet little girl had a terrible fall this week.  It was more than I could handle, as I tend to overreact just a tad.
She is home from the hospital and doing well.
Thanks for all of your well wishes.

She fractured her skull and will be in neck brace for a few weeks and she requires constant supervision. In order for me to be able to tend to her needs, I will not be able to offer in store shopping for the next few weeks. So sorry everyone.

Online orders will still be processed and shipped daily as normal. And anyone who used to shop in store can still order online and pick up to save on shipping.

I have my hands full and will keep you all updated on new prints arriving and news from the shop as I can.

Here is what is new this week:

Enchanted Garden from Riley Blake Designs

Isabella from Riley Blake Designs

Lily & Will from Moda

Quite Contrary from Riley Blake Designs

We also received It's a Hoot from Moda and I will have a picture ready soon!

I have learned this week that life is fragile.  Give your little ones an extra kiss tonight.
